Community involvement
Schools as Community Centres (SaCC)
At Glenroi Heights Public School, we are proud to host the Schools as Community Centres (SaCC) program, which supports families and young children in our local community.
Our SaCC Facilitator works closely with families and community organisations to provide programs that enhance the early learning, development, and wellbeing of children from birth to 8 years of age.
The program offers a welcoming and supportive environment where families can connect, learn, and grow together. Each year, thousands of families across NSW benefit from SaCC activities that promote strong foundations for lifelong learning.
At Glenroi Heights, SaCC activities include:
- Supported playgroups in partnership with Birrang and Centacare
- Early literacy sessions to encourage a love of reading and language
- Transition to school programs to help children and families prepare for Kindergarten
- Parenting workshops and support programs
- Adult learning opportunities
- Health and nutrition initiatives promoting healthy lifestyles
Through the SaCC program, Glenroi Heights Public School continues to build strong connections between families, the school, and the wider community giving every child the best possible start in life.
